The Medellín Philharmonic Orchestra Corporation (Filarmed) is calling for applications and inviting all interested parties to participate in the selection process for the position of Social Program Manager.
The Medellín Philharmonic Orchestra is a professional, private orchestra with 40 years of experience, dedicated to transforming the city with music. In addition to performing seasonal concerts in theater, Filarmed performs different programming slots in unconventional settings such as churches, museums, outdoor stages, educational concert slots, chamber music, among others, covering repertoires ranging from symphonic music to genres. as diverse as Colombian music, rock and pop tributes, children's music, etc., using different formats within the orchestra's template (full orchestra, reduced orchestra, chamber ensembles). In addition, it has social and educational programs in which the participation of the orchestra's musicians is expected in events such as school concerts, rehearsals and concerts for vulnerable populations and different social programs (I am a Musician, Reconciliation Choir), among other activities that They require the search for the improvement of artistic quality and commitment to social transformation.

Profile for the social program manager:
We are looking for a social programs manager committed to the development and implementation of social initiatives that promote the well-being and inclusion of vulnerable and historically excluded populations. The selected person will be responsible for the execution and monitoring of the orchestra's programs in the strategic lines of: disability, mental health, peace and reconciliation, under the guidance of the head of the area.
Requirements:
– University degree in anthropology, sociology, social work or related fields.
– Minimum of 3 years’ experience working on social projects, preferably in work contexts with vulnerable populations.
– Knowledge and experience in project execution, including monitoring, evaluation and reporting of results.
– Experience working directly with people with disabilities, victims of armed conflict or peace signatories, people with mental health issues, will be highly valued.
-Interpersonal and leadership skills for managing multidisciplinary teams and handling diverse groups.
– Effective written and verbal communication skills, and experience in preparing reports and presentations.
– Knowledge of the regulatory framework and public policies related to human rights, social inclusion and issues of vulnerable populations.
Functions:
– Manage, execute and monitor ongoing programs.
– Collaborate in the preparation of technical and impact reports.
– Supervise and guide work teams in the implementation of activities.
– Manage resources and schedules to ensure the correct execution of projects.
– Foster relationships with external stakeholders to ensure project support and sustainability.
