María Camila Barbosa Aristizábal
Associate Conductor
María Camila Barbosa Aristizábal is a Colombian conductor known for her versatility and musical leadership. She holds two master’s degrees in orchestral conducting: one from the National University of Colombia and another from the Royal Northern College of Music (United Kingdom), where she completed her training with honors.
She has conducted major ensembles such as the BBC Philharmonic, the National Symphony Orchestra of Colombia, the Bogotá Philharmonic Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic of Galicia, and the Medellín Philharmonic Orchestra, among others. Her career has been recognized with various national and international awards, including multiple prizes at the First National Conducting Competition in Colombia (2023).
In 2026, María Camila Barbosa takes on the role of Associate Conductor of the Medellín Philharmonic Orchestra, a position from which she brings a strong artistic vision and a deep commitment to the development of symphonic repertoire.
