Learn about and support our Stories of transformation through music
Since Naomi She arrived from Venezuela to Urabá in 2020, she has been part of the orchestral training program of the Medellín Philharmonic Orchestra playing the cello and today she is the principal of its line. Thanks to music, and unlike many children, Naomi was able to stay connected with her classmates thanks to virtual classes, managing to make new friends in her new home. With your donation you help other children like Naomi connect with their community through teamwork and respect.
He Reconciliation Choir brings together 25 stories whose lives have been marked by the armed conflict. Thanks to Filarmed, they have left behind the label of “victim” or “ex-combatant” to become choristers who work together to sing for reconciliation and invite us to form a new country. With your donation, the Reconciliation Choir takes its message to different communities of displaced people and ex-combatants in Medellín and its surroundings.
Isabel Cristina loves animals, singing and playing instruments. His cognitive disability has not prevented him from including music throughout his life. As a child she took classes at a music school, but it was not possible for her to continue her process there. Now, as part of Soy Músico, Isabel Cristina lights up when she takes the microphone to sing for the audience accompanied by the Medellín Philharmonic. With your donation, Isabel Cristina and 60 other neurodiverse young people can enjoy their cultural rights and enjoy their love of music.
