Imaginary City I Season Concert
“Imaginary City” takes us to feel the spaces we dream of, music as the protagonist of the place we inhabit. The streets, the buses, the street vendors, the town criers, the sounds that are part of our city experience sound like symphonic music.
Universal music and the power of the cello are to be found in a concert featuring H. Purcell's “Abdelazer” Suite, F.J. Haydn's Cello Concerto No. 1 and F. Schubert's Symphony No. 9 “A Grande”. The concert will be conducted by our principal conductor David Greilsammer and the participation of soloist Ira Givol (Israel).
Ira Givol has been artistic director of Zamus: Festival of Early Music in Cologne, Germany, since 2019. He is a devotee of chamber music and is a specialist in baroque music.
