Concert with the National Choir

From the Metropolitan Theater we enjoyed a concert with the National Choir.

These two important groups in the country will offer, under the baton of Manuel López-Gómez, associate director of the Medellín Philharmonic Orchestra, a program made up of works by three musical geniuses, to take us on a journey in time that will go through the periods baroque, classic and romantic. From Bach you will hear the Toccata and Fugue in D minor, originally written for organ and in an orchestral arrangement by Leopold Stokowski. From Beethoven his exultant Choral Fantasy, which unites the forces of the soloist in the piano, the choir and the orchestra, to present them as one. And finally, by Brahms, Nänie, a work based on a poem by Friedrich Schiller in which the composer managed to imprint a seal of unparalleled serenity and beauty.
