Concert No. 8 David Greilsammer
“The music I desire must be flexible enough to adapt to the lyrical effusions of the soul and the fantasy of dreams.” C. Debussy
We celebrate the 160th birthday of French composer Claude Debussy, considered the greatest exponent of musical impressionism. His harmonic innovations paved the way for the new musical trends of the 20th century.
With Debussy's La mer (The Sea), we not only commemorate his birthday, but we also reflect on the importance of caring for and conserving natural resources, especially water, seas, and oceans.
