From America to Europe

A tour from Latin America to Europe, in which contemporary music and the Romantic period will be the protagonists, presents the premiere in America of Musas y respuelo for orchestra by Pacho Flores, Symphony No. 4 by Tchaikovsky, Sonata for the great viola by Paganini and Romance for viola by Bruch. A concert in which Filarmed will sound versatile under the direction of Christian Vásquez (Venezuela) and the participation of soloist Milan Milisavljević (Serbia-United States).

Milan Milisavljević, making his first appearance with our orchestra, is principal viola of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra (NY). He has received international acclaim for his solo album Sonata-Song, which Strad magazine called “tonally appealing.” The violist has performed around the world, with orchestras such as the Belgrade Philharmonic, New York Classical Players, and Boca del Río Philharmonic, among many others.
