Call for cello row assistant
The Medellín Philharmonic Orchestra (Filarmed), with more than 40 years of experience, is an organization committed to artistic excellence, innovation, and social transformation through music.
Its focus includes the performance of diverse repertoires—from symphonic and academic to popular and Colombian—as well as the development of educational and community programs that positively impact thousands of people. Filarmed is currently seeking applications for a professional musician to fill the position of Cello Assistant, a key position within the orchestra's artistic team.
Required profile: Professional musician with a focus or master's degree in cello. Minimum of five years' experience in professional orchestras. Willingness to participate in symphonic, school, and community concerts, as well as social projects. Ability to explore diverse repertoires (symphonic, Colombian, rock, pop, children's, etc.).
Post: Cello Row Assistant.
Location: Medellín, Colombia.
Monthly fees: $6.535.728 (service provision contract).
Start of contract: week of August 25, 2025.
Key dates of the process:
- Registration opens: June 9, 2025.
- Registration closes: July 18, 2025 at 11:59 pm
- Publication of shortlists for in-person auditions: July 23.
- In-person hearing: August 19, 2025, 2:30 pm (in Medellín).

This form should include a link to the audition video (recorded after January 2025, without cuts or editing, with the full repertoire) and PDF documentation: ID, academic certificates, and orchestral experience certificates.
