The Medellín Philharmonic Orchestra Corporation (Filarmed) is opening its call for applications and inviting all interested parties to participate in the selection process for the 2025 supernumerary bank.

The Medellín Philharmonic Orchestra is a professional, private orchestra with 40 years of experience, dedicated to transforming the city with music. In addition to performing seasonal concerts in theater, Filarmed performs different programming slots in unconventional settings such as churches, museums, outdoor stages, educational concert slots, chamber music, among others, covering repertoires ranging from symphonic music to genres. as diverse as Colombian music, rock and pop tributes, children's music, etc., using different formats within the orchestra's template (full orchestra, reduced orchestra, chamber ensembles). In addition, it has social and educational programs in which the participation of the orchestra's musicians is expected in events such as school concerts, rehearsals and concerts for vulnerable populations and different social programs (I am a Musician, Reconciliation Choir), among other activities that They require the search for the improvement of artistic quality and commitment to social transformation.

Filarmed has defined an artistic plan with which it aims to be a bold orchestra, rooted and committed to the community, and become a musical benchmark in Latin America. Call for applications for supernumerary bank 2025

As part of its commitment to national talent and with the conviction of being a close, welcoming orchestra in tune with the country's musical ecosystem, the Medellín Philharmonic Orchestra (Filarmed) opens the call to be part of the supernumerary bank 2025.

This program seeks to offer young musicians the opportunity to gain experience in a high-level professional orchestra, enhancing their skills by sharing the stage with renowned national and international musicians.

The selected candidates will provide their services as temporary musicians on a pay-for-service basis and must reside in Medellín during the period they are required.

Candidate Profile

  • Musicians in the process of professional training or professional musicians.
  • Adults.
  • With skills to interpret diverse musical styles and genres.
  • Ability to adapt to different assembly formats.

Requirements for the provision of the service

To provide the service, the selected musicians must be affiliated as independent workers with:

  • ARL (Occupational Risk Administrator).
  • EPS (Health Care Provider).
  • Pension fund.

In addition, current membership certificates for these entities must be presented before signing the contract.
