The Medellín Philharmonic Orchestra Corporation (Filarmed) is opening a call for applications and inviting all interested parties to participate in the selection process for the position of Music Training Mentor for Complementary School Days.
The Medellín Philharmonic Orchestra is a professional, private orchestra with 40 years of experience, dedicated to transforming the city with music. In addition to performing seasonal concerts in theater, Filarmed performs different programming slots in unconventional settings such as churches, museums, outdoor stages, educational concert slots, chamber music, among others, covering repertoires ranging from symphonic music to genres. as diverse as Colombian music, rock and pop tributes, children's music, etc., using different formats within the orchestra's template (full orchestra, reduced orchestra, chamber ensembles). In addition, it has social and educational programs in which the participation of the orchestra's musicians is expected in events such as school concerts, rehearsals and concerts for vulnerable populations and different social programs (I am a Musician, Reconciliation Choir), among other activities that They require the search for the improvement of artistic quality and commitment to social transformation.

Profile for the musical training mentor for Complementary School Days
We are looking for a music training mentor for Complementary School Days to facilitate the development of the musical initiation program in educational institutions in the municipalities of La Ceja and Rionegro.
1. Academic training and experience
Professional degree in music, bachelor's degree in music or pedagogy, with extensive experience in music teaching processes.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in music teaching processes with children and youth.
- Proven work in school, community, or artistic-educational project contexts.
- Experience in the design and implementation of music classes adapted to the different stages of child development.
- Participation in JEC projects, extracurricular programs, or community service with a pedagogical focus.
2. Pedagogical skills:
- Ability to promote meaningful learning in children and young people.
- Mastery of active and participatory methodologies.
- Sensitivity to accompany artistic training processes with a human and social focus.
- Ability to adapt to diverse contexts and work collaboratively with other teachers
3. Technical skills:
- Management of educational technologies for the creation of accessible teaching resources.
- Mastery of one or more musical instruments, with the ability to teach them.
- Knowledge of music theory, literacy and harmony.
Management of tools and teaching resources for musical training. - Ability to lead ensembles, choirs, or children's and youth groups.
4. Socio-emotional skills:
- Empathy and patience: understanding each student's learning rhythms and styles.
